Summary

Nederveld assisted Andrews University in a weeklong charrette for the City of Wayne.  This charrette created a redevelopment plan that implemented tenets of the Congress for the New Urbanism including walkability, mixed-use blocks and connected, pedestrian friendly streets.  The redevelopment effort includes one-square mile and suggests new mixed use infill buildings, reconfigured narrow streets, clearly defined civic space, meaningful green space and traffic calming measures for the arterial street that cuts through downtown.
